#6 Cuyahoga Valley, OH

Aaah, Ohio. For such a populated state I was surprised it included such a robust park within its borders, but there I was in Cuyahoga nestled between Cleveland and Akron. If the other parks here are in the arid desert, this one is purely water. I just have to admit... it's kind of just woods next to a train station.

Caves

These woodlands are sort of between some highways, so I will admit it's not as isolating as some others on this list - but it sure was a peak woods experience, or dare I say rainforest. Five minutes in it began to downpour, but we pressed on to see the Falls.

Vlad gets wet. A beauty.

With all due respect, the falls were spectacular, and very unexpected in such woods. And though we visited only one of many waterfalls, the rain positively improved the water flow and made a pretty funny memory to go along with it.

Rog

DEFINITELY worth spending much more time here, and it's free! So Ohioans can enjoy it here to hike and bike to their heart's content.

I rate this park as a Grove out of a full Rainforest.
